Unit Description: The Wound Care Nurse Clinician is a global role primarily responsible for the bedside clinical care for patients requiring consultation, assessment, plan of care and treatment of pressure injuries and wounds. A collaborative team member and informal leader that applies specialized knowledge through clinical care, teaching, consultation, research and guidance of nursing personnel and other members of the health care team. The nurse clinician must have attention to detail, exemplary communication skills and a high level of professionalism as they engage with multidisciplinary colleagues across the organization. Experience with policy development, facilitating committees, data analysis and monitoring, and nursing/staff education is preferred. Coordination of care extends across the University of Vermont Medical Center and to the outside community.
- State of Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license required. BSN Required. Master's degree preferred. WOCN certification preferred. Other applicable certifications will be considered.
- Previous wound care experience either as a bedside clinician or would care team required.
